KINGSTON: A week of pics. Looks like I will be heading to Zimbabwe and Nicaragua during the next four weeks. Talk about a "Blessing...."

This is more than a book and documentary ... this is the real world around us..."

KINGSTON, JAMAICA

Hey, Mahn.

I wanted to upload a couple hundred of the photos I have been taking this past week here with the Mustard Seed Communities.

These high school students seen here with the children of Mustard Seed are high school student and college students from Atlanta, Rhode Island, Boston, Los Angeles and Florida.

Also I captured a few scenes from the Cathedral here in Kingston (almost 100 years old) and is breathtaking both inside and out.

Day started at 5:30 a.m. with Morning meditation with Msgr. Gregory and the children and staff living here at My Father's House in the 3 Mile Area of Kingston.  This was moving.

Listening to a huge crowd of cheering futbol fans who are watching a local club match next door in the Three Mile section of Kingston.

Oppps.   GOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLLL!

Also had a terrific lunch today with Msgr. Gregory Ramkissoon and staff members here at a spectacular restaurant during a driving rain storm.  Had some great quality interview time with him on our drive around the city today.

Menu included:
Ackee fish(which is the national dish of Jamaica)
Mackerel
 Field Greens
Fried Dumplings
Boiled Dumplings
Steamed Fish
Corn Hominy Porridge (AMAZING!)
Hot Mint Tea
Sweet Potato Souffle

There goes my diet, and I was just starting to get use to chicken back and pig tail.

Looks like I will be heading to BOTH Zimbabwe and Nicaragua during the next four weeks to continuing interviewing the staff and professionals that are the driving force and magic with the Mustard Seed Communities.  Keep you posted. Thunder and lightning  a brewin...

Ciao,
Randy

Great pics. What an inspirational trip to remind us all of what takes places beyond the walls and the borders of where we live. Great project, Randy. Keep us all posted.
