The "Friendly City of Bellflower" was the scene of a deadly drive by murder last night that has shaken up this bedroom community.

Law enforcement is investigating the shooting death of a Hispanic adult male early Saturday morning in Bellflower.

The shooting took place at right after midnight at the 17800 block of Ibbetson Avenue. It appears that it might have been a drive by shooting, and it may have been gang related.

After members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department arrived at the scene, they found the victim at the location with a gunshot. He was transported to a local hospital where he died. His name has not been released at this time.

There is no further information available to the media or community. As soon as an update is provided, including the victims name, and a possible motive, I will keep you posted.
