MONDAY NIGHT UPDATE: Emiliano Amaya, Norwalk man killed In officer involved shooting at Pioneer Boulevard residence ided

What's THE REaction:
UPDATE
MONDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2011
9:33 p.m.
I was the first reporter in Southern California to sit down and interview both the mother and sister of Emiliano Amaya on behalf of Los Cerritos Community News late this afternoon for over one hour.  I will be updating www.loscerritosnews.net on Tuesday about what was said in that candid, emotional and raw interview.  This situation is sad in many ways.  Please share this post on your FB Page, and feel free to leave a comment at the end of this blog post.

Note: As a Reporter for Los Cerritos Community News, I am dedicated to reporting the facts of each and every major crime or incident that takes place here in our community. More often than not, I find myself talking to members of law enforcement and with those knowledgeable about a particular crime or incident at all hours of the day and night. Thursday was "one of those days" when things were blowing all over the place literally and figuratively. I received a number of calls about the below situation from friends of the person who was killed by law enforcement on Pioneer Boulevard early Thursday morning. I never knew Emiliano Amaya, but a very trusted close friend of mine considered him on of the "greatest and kindest people" he has ever met. I want to hit the "pause" button and wait for more details on this situation to emerge during the next few days. This is posted today at www.loscerritosnews.net.

Reposting for my friend of many many years, Stephanie Amaya. My heart breaks for her story as. Why are gun happy killer cops allowed to get away with this? Why wasn't there a less than lethal force used?? He wasn't even the person they were looking for in the first place! This is regarding the Norwalk Sheriff Department and what stories they make up to cover their asses.

"I want EVERYONE to know this so please copy and paste it. Very early yesterday morning came into my house saying they were searching for someone. When my brother came out to find out what was going on the cops shot and killed him in our kitchen in front of my mother and little sister. They NEVER told him to stop or put his hands up. They just fired. Now they are telling newspapers that my brother waived a gun at them. This is NOT true. My.brother would never do somthing like that with my son and my nieces there. My nieces was asleep on the bed directly behind him when they shot him. The cops also completely destroyed our house. I want everyone that reads this to know that Emiliano Amaya was my brother and did not to anything to deserve what happened to him. PLEASE RE-POST THIS. I want the world to know the truth."

Like Randy Economy reported, Emiliano Amaya was indeed a great guy! I had the pleasure of being his friend for the past ten years. After reading the articles, I have to disagree and advise people not to believe everything written in the papers. Emiliano would never put his family in danger. He loved them dearly.
You will be missed Nano!

It just too bad that nobody mentioned that the fact that several phone calls were made to the Norwalk Sheriffs station within hours of the shooting to find out where "The Azzhole" that was the center of the warrant was being held. Why would you care? Why was it so important to know? Why would you communicate with him after the fact?Let not forget how Stephanie defended him publicly on Facebook and said not to judge him.
Stephanie Amaya Do not be upset with Henry about this. We are not so right now we do not want any of you to be either. We are finding things out so listen to me do not be mad at him be mad at the asshole who didn't do his job.

Seems like they knew more that they elude to in the article.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a blueprint of the house that would show how a person sleeping in one can see something happen in a completely different room?
How does a person throw his body over someone while being confronted by armed officers end up not being handcuffed right then and there, end up being found hiding in the back of the house by other officers? Maybe it was his "evil twin" and the "not so evil twin" was in the kitchen.
How can you not know someones background that lives in your own house? Especially for several months? One would think a reasonable person if for no other reason than the safety of the children would know everything about "EVERYBODY" in the house.
Hopefully this will be "The Azzholes" 3rd and final strike and he will get life without parole.
I guess the bottom line is no amount of complaining, debating the issue or second guessing the crappy events will ever bring Emiliano back to those that loved him.
Funerals aren't meant for the lost loved one, they are in effect for the living. Not to celebrate their lives because that is done long before and long after the burial. They live on in memories for as long as we live. That is our immortality after death. No money spend to make ourselves feel better can do that. Money no matter what the amount will ever resurrect those lost.
This article should have never been published in the first place. It does not reflect the wonderful human being he was. All it does prolong pain and create speculation that will never be answered or agreed on by all. It will never, ever bring him back.
It's time to respect him for who he was, honor his memory and allow the many who are grieving to put him to his final rest.
