Chino, CA

Two brush fires have joined forces tonight in the Inland Empire area of Chino.

The "Highway 71 Fire" broke out Saturday afternoon at around 4:43 p.m. near Highway 71 and Pine Avenue just south of the city of Chino.

So far more than 65 acres have burned and the fire is now officially 10% contained.

The good news is that fire officials think that the "forward progress" of the fire has stopped.   Chino Valley Fire is on the scene along with members of the San Bernardino County Fire Department.
