BREAKING: SMALL BRUSH FIRE HITS WHITTIER HILLS AREA. Four acres burned. Appears to be "under control."

This is hot hot and super dry day here in Los Angeles this Labor Day Weekend.  It is the "perfect" scenario for brush fires.

A small 4 acres brush fire appears to be under control in the unincorporated part of our local  Whittier Hills. 

Here are the facts about the fire from the LA County Fire Department:

  • Four Acres burned.
  • Location is near Lincoln Avenue and San Gabriel Boulevard.
  • Firefighters are getting the fire under control at this time.
  • No structures are threatened. 
  • No homes appear to be in the immediate area.
  • 60 Los Angeles County firefighters are at the scene.
