Francisco Franco, Amber Colon: Two arrests made in grizzly Norwalk stabbing that left victim in serious condition

Two people have been arrested after a grizzly stabbing on Monday night on the 14700 block of Leibacher Avenue in Norwalk, that left the victim, a male, in critical condition.

After a ten hour surveillance at numerous locations by Norwalk Sheriff''s Station Detective Bureau, suspect Francisco Franco, a 32 year old male Hispanic, and Amber Colon, 30, a female Hispanic were arrested at the Lucky Lodge Motel at 15604 Lakewood Boulevard in Paramount at 9:20 p.m.
Both Franco and Colon have been taken to the Norwalk Sheriff's Station and have been booked on attempted murder charges.
Bail has been set at $1,000,000.00.
Norwalk Sheriff’s Watch Commander Bill Evans told Los Cerritos Community News that law enforcement responded to the location, near the intersection of Leibacher Avenue and Excelsior Drive at around 8:30 p.m. on Monday and found the victim suffering from“several stab wounds.”
After interviewing local residents in the area, it was determined that the suspectfled on foot and was last seen in the immediate area. Evan’s said that Franco was the prime suspect in the crime.

The stabbing victim was rushed to an area hospital and is listed in “very critical condition.” “It appears that the victim is going to pull through,” said Evans.
