County records show failure to vote in last

Trimble registered to vote within the City of Hawaiian Gardens on June
1, 2011. Further review of voting files indicates Trimble has not voted in any election during the past several years.
On the California Voter Registration Form for Los Angeles County, Trimble states-under penalty of perjury-that she changed her voter registration from an address located in Long Beach to a mobile home at 22221 Bloomfield Avenue in Hawaiian Gardens on June 1, 2011.
Trimble filed to become a candidate for Hawaiian Gardens City Council on July 18, 2011, according to records obtained at the Hawaiian Gardens City Clerk’s office. She is hoping to unseat either incumbent Mayor Mike Gomez or Councilman Victor Farfan.
Other documents obtained by the Los Cerritos Community News from the Los Angeles County Registrar Recorders show that Trimble had been previously registered at a residence located at 3600 Monaco in Long Beach.
On Sept. 20, LCCN learned that Trimble filed paperwork with the California Secretary of State’s Office to establish a campaign committee under the name of “Trimble for City Council 2011-Supporting Honesty in Government.” California election officials issued the campaign an official identification number this past week in order for the group to collect campaign donations and to pay for expenditures.
Misleading Candidate Statement
In her ballot statement, which will be mailed to all Hawaiian Gardens voters within the next few weeks in the official “Sample Ballot Guide,” Trimble contradicts her residency status stating: “As a longtime resident of Hawaiian Gardens; my family, husband and friends have always known me to be of service to our residents.”
She goes on to state “As a Head Start mother, a parent coordinator, a sports mom, an ABC school employee, a minister to residents in our city and the founder of a women’s ministry; (I) now respond to the calling to be your City Council Woman to support change in Hawaiian Gardens.”
When asked to comment about the Trimble residency situation, the Gomez-Farfan Campaign said that their campaign “welcomes further investigation into this matter and hopes she can adhere to her campaign slogan ‘Honesty in Government.’
Several telephone calls to Trimble by Los Cerritos Community News were not returned as of Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m.

On her campaign website, Hawaiian Gardens City Councilmen Rey Rodriguez and Barry Bruce praise her as a “woman of integrity” who “desires to bring transparency and fiscal responsibility to our community.”
“Rey and I look forward to have Kathy join us as the missing piece in our service to you,” Bruce writes in a post on the Trimble campaign site.
“What Rey and I could not accomplish, Kathy’s election will make possible.”
Repeated calls to Bruce to comment on this story at his church “The Way Out Ministries” were not returned to the Los Cerritos Community News.

This smells like another Bell. Perhaps she does have her hidden agenda and it clearly happened in Bell. Remember Luis Artiga who had a residence in Chino, and let's not forget our dear Ana Maria Quintana, who is currently a city councilmember in Bell and used to live in Cudahy almost before the deadline to pull papers. The saga in the Southeast politics continues!
These little cities like Hawaiian Gardens, Maywood, Cudahy, and Vernon, and so many others should all be disbanded. Hawaiian Gardens has a real "fringe" element trying to take over after this election. I am not a huge fan of Mayor Mike Gomez. He was a very weak Mayor who is afraid to put Barry Bruce in his place. But, as a "Proud Latino" voter, I will hold my "nose" and vote FOR GOMEZ and FARFANE instead of this woman.
Everyone in this "park" where Trimble lives, are totally aware of her "residence" issue. We see with our own eyes what goes on here. We aren't STUPID, Mr. Rey and Mr. Bruce. She is your puppet and you are willing to do whatever it takes to get her as your "third" vote.
Why is Barry Bruce and Rey Rodriguez supporting this candidate? Greed. Mind Control. Profit. Scary times in The Gardens if Barry Bruce takes control. How come Barry Bruce is so angry all the time? Is he really that crazy like he acts on television?
