Steven Richard Miller: Torrance man to be arraigned for murder of his wife after body being discovered at Extended Stay Hotel

MurderImage by AJC1 via FlickrTORRANCE – A felon who was on parole for a domestic violence conviction was charged today with the murder of his wife, whose body was discovered in a Torrance motel room in June. Steven Richard Miller, 39 (dob 10-26-71), is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday at Torrance Superior Court, Department 4. He is charged in case YA081639 with the June 18 murder of Blaza Miller. Prosecutors will ask bail be set at $1.1 million. Employees of the Extended Stay America hotel in Torrance discovered Blaza Miller’s body about 3 p.m. on June 20. She would have turned 46 on June 29. Deputy District Attorney Lowrie Mendoza is assigned to prosecute the case. If convicted, Miller faces up to life in prison.
