What a mess in the eastern portion of Arizona this weekend. Been looking at this "Wallow Fire" that began on May 29, and tonight it has erupted into a massive wicked blaze that has already swallowed up 140,000 acres.
Call this is the "winds of the Wallow."
The fire grew by 14,000 acres yesterday, and it advanced to the north and north-west and impacted Big Lake Lookout right near the Big Lake Recreation area.
This is one of the most breathtaking parts of the Southwest portion of the US. Be safe. Also wanted to share Saturday's press conference with Arizona Governor Jan Brewer via the Associated Press.
I have a feeling, that this fire season is going to be brutal here in the Western US.
