Two adult males were shot and injured in what is being investigated as a “possible gang related” shooting on the 14700 block of Dumont. Avenue
Official seal of City of NorwalkImage via WikipediaNorwalk Sheriff’s Sgt. Mark Guerrero said that deputies responded to a call on Monday afternoon around 3 p.m. of “shots fired” north of Excelsior Drive and south of Mapledale Avenue.
When squad cars rolled up to investigate no victims could be located.
Around 10 to 15 minutes later, two victims with gunshot wounds appeared in the Emergency Room of nearby Coast Medical Plaza Hospital in Norwalk.
The victims were identified as Adrian Acosta, 19 and Leonard Bohinski, 30 both from Norwalk. One suffered a gunshot to the stomach, and the other suffered what is being described as a “possible graze wound” to the head.
