Image by javaturtle via FlickrCOMPTON – A former Compton elementary teacher is awaiting arraignment today on charges he sexually molested three female students while he was assigned to Foster Elementary School, the District Attorney’s office announced.
Ronald Sture (CQ) Hoppe, 45 (dob 12-21-65), was charged in case TA116984 with three felony counts of lewd act on a child under 14. Hoppe was arrested Thursday after the felony complaint for arrest warrant was filed by Deputy District Attorney Adrian Roxas. He is being held on $300,000 bail.
The Diamond Bar resident allegedly sexually molested the first student during the 2005-2006 school year, the second victim the following year and the third in November 2008. All three victims were eight years old at the time of the alleged incidents.
Hoppe was transferred from Foster Elementary to Davis Middle School between November and December 2008.
Hoppe is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon at Compton Superior Court, Department 12.
If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in state prison.
