LOS ANGELES -
Former Pico Rivera Mayor Ronald Beilke was found guilty on two misdemeanor counts of "conflict of interest" for voting on contracts that prosecutors said resulted in him to get a personal advantage at his hot dog stand he owns over on Rosemead Boulevard.

PICO RIVERA: HOME TO ANOTHER GUILTY COUNCIL MEMBER |
The jury announced their verdicts this afternoon in a Downtown Los Angeles courtroom. Belike is still in trouble the the two minor convictions and he will be sentenced formally on February 18th. Prosecutors told the Whittier Daily News this afternoon that the former Councilman could still get up to one year jail, probation and be barred from holding public office for at least three years.
Belike is a lucky man tonight. What do you think? Was this case a waste of time or did justice prevail? What sentence do you think the former Pico Rivera should get? Jail time? Community service? Both? Hit my comment section and sound off.

Former Mr. Mayor, one word of advice: when you go to the big house, don't drop the soap in the shower. Enjoy your stay.
LMAO. He did get off lucky.
What a total waste of taxpayer dollars. Sad to see this happened in the first place. He will get off with a slap on the hand, maybe 40 hours of community service (which will probably be cleaning up the parks in Pico Rivera) and that's about it. I predict that BEILKE will RETURN and RUN for the PICO RIVERA City Council as soon as he is legally eligible. Sad day for Democracy.
