Note: We have all be following the political corruption trials in many of our local municipalities.  This below article has just broken in the Whittier Daily News from Ruby Gonzales regarding the felony perjuryPico Rivera Mayor Ronald Belike.  If you need a refresher course on "Belike 101" go ahead and do a "google" search and see all the sorted details about the misdeeds of this dude....

Stay tuned....

Also.... Look for lots of Pico Rivera city officials to be on the "witness list' including current and former City Council members, as well as a whoes-who of Pico Rivera city administrator(s).

This trial should be a humdinger.  I hope ALL of the MEDIA in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA can cover this trial when it finally starts.  It would be an injustice to "sweep" this under the media carpet.  This could be as entertaining as watching the "Bell 8" trial....

LOS ANGELES - A new trial date was set for former Pico Rivera mayor and former councilman Ronald Beilke.

Beilke was in a Los Angeles Superior courtroom Thursday for a scheduled trial that has been continued to Nov. 10, according to the prosecution and the defense.

He's been charged with one count of felony perjury, one count of felony conflict of interest and three counts of misdemeanor conflict of interest. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges and has refused a plea deal.

According to court documents, the perjury charge stems from Beilke signing an allegedly dishonest 2008 economic interest form, while the felony conflict of interest was for voting on a contract with the Krikorian Theater while receiving gifts from the company.

The misdemeanor charges are for voting on a road improvement project close to his fast food restaurant which prosecutors allege benefited him financially.
