ANAHEIM - Beong Kwun Cho, from Cerritos has been arrested on murder charges this afternoon for the death of Yeon Woo Lee, 50, who Anaheim police claim was "an acquaintance" of the victim and a visitor from South Korea.
The grizzly murder that took place early yesterday morning at the area of Miraloma Avenue near Kraemer Boulevard in Anaheim. Several news agencies are covering this crime.
Talk about quick detective work in this case. It took Anaheim PD less than one day to connect Cho to this crime.
Cho lives here in Cerritos. I don't have much about his background. Cerritos has one of the largest Korean-American communities in Southern California. The victim died from a single gun shot to the head.
Cho is in custody this afternoon and faces numerous felony charges. No bail amount has been set, and as soon as a court date and booking details are released, I will update the blog.
The Anaheim Police Department is not saying much on this arrest other than Cho and Lee were "acquaintances." The victim is a visitor here from South Korea.
Image via WikipediaNo motive has been established. More later.
