Strike up a huge win for Director Tom Hooper from the critically acclaimed drama "The Kings Speech."
Image via WikipediaHooper was named Best Director of 2010 by the Directors Guild of America on Saturday night at a glitzy bash over at the Renaissance Hotel at Hollywood and Highland.
Also honored for direction honors was "Inside Job," a chronicle of the economic meltdown in 2008 in the Documentary category; Michael Spiller, Best Director for a Television Show for "Modern Family;" Eythan Kelley who for Best Director of a Reality Program for "The Next Iron Chef." (Kudos Mr. Kelley....the NEXT IRON CHEF IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS on CABLE!)

I have got to get off my royal can and see "The Kings Speech."
