17-year old GARDENA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT CHARGED WITH BRINGING A GUN TO SCHOOL. DA wants to prosecute him as an adult. I agree. Do you?

GARDENA, CA - JANUARY 18: Los Angeles police ...Image by Getty Images via @daylifeThe Los Angeles County District Attorney has gotten to work in filing at least two charges against that 17 year old student at Gardena High School who brought a loaded gun to school that resulted in the injuries of two other students.   Time to stop playing games with our children who commit very adult crimes.  I also think the gunman's parents need to be held accountable as well.  What do you think?  Hit my comment section.

LONG BEACH – A 17-year-old Gardena High School student suspected of carrying a gun to school on Tuesday that discharged, striking two students, was charged today with two felonies. Deputy District Attorney Joanne Baeza, deputy in charge of the Long Beach Juvenile Branch, said prosecutors charged the minor, (dob 7-26-93), with one count of possessing a firearm in a school zone and one count of discharging a firearm in a school zone. Baeza said prosecutors also filed a motion to have the minor, whose name is being withheld because of his age, tried as an adult. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday at Long Beach Juvenile Court, Department 245, on case NJ25562. He remains in custody. The 17-year-old, who is on probation for a misdemeanor battery charge, allegedly carried a loaded 9 millimeter Beretta in his backpack to school on Tuesday. When he allegedly reached inside the backpack to get something to eat, the gun discharged a single bullet. The bullet struck a 15-year-old boy in the neck before next hitting a 15-year-old girl in the side of the head, officials said. The incident occurred about 10:40 a.m. inside a classroom.
