JOSHUA ELDER and STEVE MICHAEL RADU: Charged in Rose Bowl Brawl

Two men allegedly involved in a brawl outside the Rose Bowl on Saturday before the USC-UCLA football game were charged today with resisting arrest and other crimes.

Joshua Elder, 24 (dob 2-22-86), and Steven Michael Radu, 27 (dob 3-19-83), are scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon at Pasadena Superior Court, Department D. They are charged in case GA081910 with one count each of resisting arrest. In addition, Elder is charged with misdemeanor exhibiting a deadly weapon and Radu is charged with trying to free Elder from police custody, a felony.

When undercover Pasadena police officers allegedly saw Elder, of Temple City, pull out a knife, they identified themselves as officers and tried to arrest him. He allegedly fought with officers and was joined by Radu, of Monrovia. The officers suffered minor injuries.

Elder is being held on $50,000 bail and Radu is being held on $75,000 bail.
