Who is "Australian Businessman Ryan Bowman?"
Many are asking tonight if the man arrested in the hit and run death of Lauren Ann Freeman on Sunset Boulevard late last night is the same "RYAN BOWMAN" who is the top executive at Zeal Entertainment. Zeal has offices on Sunset less than two blocks from where the horrific incident took place.
Several hundred people were crowded on the Sunset Strip in the immediate area. Bowman fled the scene in his gray Bentley and tonight he turned himself in with his attorney at the West Hollywood Sheriffs Station.
Zeal Entertainment is involved with the distribution of "Girls Gone Wild Australia."

One of my sources said they he had heard that Bowman was an "executive" with offices on Sunset.
According to KTLA NEWS, Bowman's attorney contacted the West Hollywood detectives and he surrendered late Thursday afternoon.
"He invoked his 5th Amendment rights against self-incrimination and we booked him on [charges of] vehicular manslaughter," Sheriff detective Steve Whitmore told KTLA. Whitmore said alcohol "most likely played a role in this tragic event."

SLEAZY smut peddlers have invaded Schoolies Week - filming drunken teenage girls exposing themselves and then selling the footage on DVD.
Girls Gone Wild, a notorious US adult entertainment company, will take 1000 young school-leavers on a cruise to a secret island, ply them with alcohol and encourage them to behave badly for the cameras.
Queensland Police are investigating the predatory cruise after information was handed to them by The Daily Telegraph yesterday.
Ryan Bowman, who bought the Australian rights to Girls Gone Wild through his Sydney-based company Zeal Entertainment, said he expected "dancing, singing, maybe a bit of nudity, who knows".
He will charge $70 a head to take three boatloads of 350 people each on an alcohol-soaked 1½ hour cruise to a secret island north of Surfers.

More alcohol will be served on the island, where the girls will stay for another three hours before making the return trip and heading out on a pub crawl back on land.
"We probably will have a camera on board," Mr Bowman said.
"We really don't want to promote nudity, that's a by-product. The aim of the event is to introduce people to Girls Gone Wild."
From today, the first day most NSW Schoolies arrive at the Gold Coast, Mr Bowman will try to recruit young people via a stall just metres outside a fence set up to keep out older men known as toolies.
"The age group that we will entice will be 18 to 19, maybe 20," he said.
The first cruise leaves the Gold Coast's Marina Mirage on Wednesday.
Mr Bowman said he planned to hold party games but would not elaborate.
"There probably will be a wet T-shirt (competition)," he said.
Gold Coast Superintendent Jim Keogh immediately ordered an investigation into the cruise when told about it by The Daily Telegraph.
He said water police had been told to inspect the vessel to ensure all activities on board were legal, including responsible service of alcohol.
"If there's any suggestion these boat cruises are conducting tours under the auspices of legitimate entertainment for Schoolies and are deceiving them, filming and then inducing them into some sort of lewd behaviour, we'd investigate them," he said.
Hannah Charlton, who went to Mount St Benedict Catholic school in Sydney's northwest, was horrified to learn about the cruise.
"That's scary, knowing it could be my friends being targeted," Hannah, 18, from West Pennant Hills said.
Classmate Renee Biviano, 17, from Cherrybrook, said it was "disturbing and sick" and "like paedophilia".
Alyce Rogers, 18, said: "That's a bit low. It's taking advantage of them. I wouldn't do it."

You are all idiots. The supposed schoolies event was a made up story by an Australian reporter, no event was ever planned, no tickets were sold. Girls gone Wild have never produced any content in Australia whatsoever. Zeal were simply a distributor of the USA GGW content to Foxtel and hotel chains. Get your facts right before making such comments in future.

I feel so so sad for the family of Lauren Ann Freeman. I hope everyone can keep Lauren in your thoughts and prayers today. I was on the Sunset Strip and everyone was screaming. What a coward this Bowman must be. No wonder he ran from the scene. Hell, I am surprised he turned himself into the authorities.
These people like Bowman, hink they can get out of any "legal" problem buy throwing money around.
Why did he leave the scene? What kind of man would do this?
He could have just stayed there.
HE obviously made the decision to run and hide.
He needs to be held accountable. Justice needs to be served.
He was a big party person.. was probably coked up and drunk at the time, hense fleeing the scene long enough to sober up. You live by the sword and you die by the sword.
Amazing how all you guys can judge like this. You do not even know the facts and you are all ready to throw the book at him. Maybe he fled as he was in shock? Do not comment unless you have personally been in that situation, its actually a very common reaction. What does GGW have to do with this, his company distributed content for them, who cares! As far as i am aware thats not illegal is it? I think most comments here come from pure jealousy as he is a successful business person. Let all of the facts come out before judging people and you will be a wiser person for it!
Who knows what happened yet. Maybe he was driving within the speed limit, had not been drinking and Lauren stepped out and there was nothing he could do to avoid the unfortunate accident. I agree he should not have fled the scene though, but if he was obeying the law and could not have avoided the incident then imagine how he is feeling right now. It could happen to any of us at anytime! If he was speeding or drinking or both then he will get what he deserves, but lets wait and see the facts here first people.

I was there. Saw the commotion. He could have done the right thing. I read your blog about his $2 million bail. You cannot get into the mind of someone like Bowman...period. What in the world is his "defense" going to be? Ahhh..."I got scared. I panicked. I was high." Or, all of the above.
As anyone ever heard of innocent until proven guilty!!!! It could happen to anyone of you. You sit there on your computer and type your harsh words without even knowing the full story....shame on you!
Ryan bowman has had vehicular manslaughter charges against him dropped and now just faces hit and run charges. I hope this teaches some of you idiots who make comments without having the facts to hand a lesson. If it were up to some of you it seems you wanted him to go to jail for just driving a bentley or being involved in girls gone wild. This was a tragic accident and thats all it was. If you still want blood then go after the powers that be that have not been pro active in ensuring necessary changes are made to this dangerous stretch of road where accidents such as this happen all to frequently.
I remember Ryan Bowman from school in the ACT, Australia. I remember at one party he sat at the door and scored girls as they came in, and told them the score and what they had wrong with their bodies. He was dodgy back then and age has just seemed to amplify it. Whether he was drunk or high and therefore dricing illegally, he had some dodgy karmic juices coming his way.
Ryan Bowman's father, Harry, is a great role model- one of the porn pioneers in Canberra.I can understand where his arrogance comes from.

I was present at Bowman's court appearance in March. I didn't observe much remorse. One of his porn stars could have done a better act.Sentenced to one year in A "Hilton" jail and out after 6 months if he behaves. Lauren's parents have got a life sentence without their daughter because of his selfish behaviour.True remorse would be Bowman helping with the rehabilitation of survivors of hit and run during his one day a week release from jail and to continue this after his release.I doubt that this will happen but he may be truly remorseful when the civil case againsthim is successful and he loses his money.But, I'm sure he is already hiding his assets.
The anniversary of Lauren's death has just passed. Bowman has been released from jail,returned to Australia and is partying all night.What a sleazy scumbag.

I met that guy when he and his brothers lived in Sydney. He was a scumbag then, and scumbag now.

I read with interest the previous post.I have followed the antics and mayhem created by the Bowmans and their associates over a number of years. My family relatives were scammed by these criminals for a large amount of money and they have vowed to get their money back.They have thought of retribution but have been counselled to work within the law and not do a "Bowman". They would have to join a long list of those out to get the Bowmans.
Their latest scam is a business called IM International with the usual vending machines.The web address is www.imfreenow.net. If you look closely at the address the words "I'm Free Now" will be seen.This was developed at the time of Ryan's jail release.

Ryan has delusions of being an author. As the previous post said he has started a business called PagePusher which sells e-books online.He wrote a book, directed for the teenage market, about a young mother who killed a 17 year old girl, whilst driving under the influence of alcohol.Seems like a fictionalised story of his own experience that he wrote for psychological therapy whilst in jail.The title of the $2 book is "You're Not To Blame" Who is to blame Ryan?Bad parents?Alcohol and drugs?Peer pressure?Arrogance?Thankfully, he has removed his book from his web, but a recent picture of him with his girlfriend taken in the lounge of his luxury Wooloomooloo unit, with the caption "I am a new writer!...." remains.

NSW.It is used as their holiday home and they rent it as a holiday rental when not using it. Try internet search engine words "Amara Byron Bay". Some luxury for the boys as they plan their next scam! My relatives want to rent it out to see for themselves.

I had a look at Bowman's picture on his Pagepusher site. The last time I saw him was when he was in court in March last year. Thought he was meant to receive drug and alcohol counselling.Doesn't appear that he has, as his abuse has effected his looks.
