Brett Sloppy, the driver of an off-road truck that smashed into spectators will not be charged with any criminal wrong doing int the crash. Why? Because the event was held on "private property" according to legal experts close to the investigation.
The deadly crash happened in front of hundreds of fans at the California 200, an off-road race in the Mojave Desert.
Watch this clip from the Associated Press for all the breaking details.
What do you think about this?
Is this justice for the families of those killed?

Hi Randy... I know it's a tragic accident but all these venues are known to be dangerous to drivers and spectators alike... Spectators want the best view and ultimately put themselves unknowingly in extremely dangerous situations. The drive...r was just doing what he was there for... running in a race... looking towards the finish line... how can the driver be charged for this? If anything I would think that the owner's of the property would be accountable for not providing areas of safe viewing instead of on a piece of paper explaining how far to stand back from the track so to speak.... just my thoughts...
spectators were too close, driver was not to blame.
As tragic as this is, those people chose to put themselves in harms way. This is a race and the driver was racing to win. Sometimes you are going to lose control and crash, such is the nature of racing. The driver didn't do anything wrong.
I have been to these races and they tell you to move back and you do and when they leave we go right back up there. This jump is a good photo shoot.
My prayers and thoughts go out to the familys involved including the drivers.
GREAT GREAT COMMENTS! KEEP em' COMING!
BTW....
Within the past 48 hours, I have had more than 31,000 people read about this tragic event here on my Blog from more than 45 countries all over the world. This is more than a tragic event, it has really moved many people to think deeply about life....
Randy it's a matter of common sense, these stupid hillbillies who practically stand on the track with their kids as these vehicles race by at speeds over 100 mph deserve it. It's going to be another case where government going to step in and protect the idiots.
Totally could have been prevented! Tragic as it is- the spectators were all way too close!!
