Artesia, CA

So, did you get caught up in this messy crime scene?

A quiet neighborhood next to the iconic Los Cerritos Center was locked down on Tuesday afternoon that resulted in the arrest of a adult male man on vehicle burglary and other felony charges.

Here are the details:

Lakewood Sheriff's Deputies on Tuesday afternoon responded to a call that a stolen car had been tracked driving through our neck of the woods equipped with one of those handy dandy satellite tracking gizmos.

The vehicle was tracked to a neighborhood over near 184th Street and Gridley Road in Artesia.  The suspect, who's name has not been released, fled on foot and led law enforcement through that neighborhood.

Several area officers responded to the scene, and many residents were pulled out of their homes to make sure that they were safe from any potential harm.  Los Angeles County Sheriff Deputies took the man is custody when he was attempting to hide in a house on at the Dena Street location. It was unknown if there was more than one suspect, according to the Sheriff's Department.
