Armed suspects prompt 91 Fwy lane closures

CERRITOS, Calif. (KABC) -- All lanes of the 91 Freeway were closed between Bloomfield and Pioneer after a pursuit ended with suspects fleeing on foot. All lanes were opened to traffic by 5 p.m.
Officials believe suspects have bedded down in the brush near the freeway. Two police helicopters and two search dogs were on scene locating the suspects.Authorities believe there are four to five suspects in total, described as three black men and a black woman. L.A. County Sheriff's deputies detained two men, and two suspects remained at large at 6 p.m. By 7:20 p.m., deputies had all suspects in custody.
The suspects, believed to be armed, allegedly robbed the Highglow Jewelry Store at 187th St. and Pioneer Blvd. in Artesia at about 2:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. No one was injured in the robbery.
Sheriff's deputies pursued the suspects for a short distance. The pursuit ended in a cul-de-sac on Palm St. just east of Norwalk Blvd. in Cerritos.
