BUENA PARK --

(In case you have been wondering what all those sirens along the 91 Freeway were about this early morn....)

Be on the look out for the driver of a yellow Ford Mustang involved in a fiery crash with a semi-big rig truck that shut down the 91 Freeway in Buena Park and Cerritos this morning.

At around 1:15 a.m. today (Wednesday) a nasty crash took place on the 91 Freeway (Eastbound) between Knott Avenue and Beach Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The impact sent the big rig onto its side and the cab caught fire. The truck driver escaped without any injuries, he is lucky to be alive this morning.  The Mustang involved also caught fire and the driver fled the scene.

Law enforcement is still trying to find that driver as of this post.  One eastbound lane remained closed as of 5:10 a.m. Not sure how much longer this freeway "hot spot" is going to remain closed.  If you know who is responsible for this crash, call local authorities or 911.
