(Hawaiian Gardens, CA) Three children are lucky to be alive today in Hawaiian Gardens after they reportedly overdosed on an "unknown" drug on Monday, Los Angeles County Sheriff officials are reporting today.

Lakewood Sheriff Deputies along with Los Angeles County Fire and Paramedics responded to a call on 223rd Street in The Gardens on Monday and found three young males between the ages of 11 and 16 "unresponsive."

The three minors were transported to a local area hospital where their condition remains unknown at this time.

Two of the minor children involved are under the supervision of a Foster Care family, according to Lakewood Sheriff Watch Commander Shane Robley.

"These three youngsters are lucky to be alive," said Robley.

The Sheriff's Special Victims Bureau will be following up with interviews of those involved, and no criminal charges have been filed.

The names of the schools in which the three minors attend have not been released, but it is believed that they attend campuses located in the ABC Unified School District.
