Granada Liquor Store over here at Walker and Orangethorpe  in La Palma has made one of our neighbors $647,000 richer because they played the California Lottery's MEGA Millions Drawing on Friday.

The lucky, lucky winner presented his ticket at the Santa Fe Springs lottery office.

The man asked to remain anonymous, so his name was not released. I have bought my tickets at Granada for eons, so tonight I wanna send a huge "High Five" to that person who has lots of extra coin in his pocket.

The winning ticket matched five of six numbers, barely missing the $48 million jackpot.  Could you imagine missing nearly $50 MILLION BUCKS by ONE NUMBER.  YIKES!

The winning ticket holder says he's still happy, and is looking forward to paying off his bills.

So, get over and congratulate Granada Liquor at 5501 Orangethorpe Avenue, in La Palma for this wonderful moment. (Boarder of Cerritos/La Palma and Buena Park).

MEGA Millions is a multi-state game played in California and 11 other states.
