How 'bout them Detroit Tigers? Huh? My Vid Clip of the Day Celebrates Opening Day 2009!

I got a note today from one of my readers in Detroit, Michigan.

"Hey, Randy, how about showing some love for our Baseball Tigers. This is going to be THE BEST year EVER for US here in Detroit."
Mark in Detroit

Okay, Mark.

Here is this vintage clip about the rich history of YOUR Baseball Tigers.

Ah yes.

The Detroit Tigers.

Those Wacky Cats of Lake Erie.

Ty Cobb, The Georgia Peach. The Goose. George Kell. Al Kaline. Charley Maxwell. Detroit is Baseball USA.

It's Motor City's Team. Northrup. Tradition. Sparky Anderson. Kurt Gibson. Alan Trammell. "Sweet" Lou Whitaker. Ahh. Tiger Baseball. Mo Town!

Today was Opening Day 2009 here in America and Baseball will Reign Supreme for the next 6 months.

I bleed Dodger Blue, but want to accomodate the wishes of my readers, especially those in the hard hit area of Detroit.

So, to them Tiger Fans, this one is for you!

Go Angels!

Go Dodgers!
