Alexandra Tang, 24, Identified as victim in stabbing that has resulted in the arrest of Derek Pinski in Laguna Hills

HERE IS AN UPDATE ON THAT HORRIFIC MURDER IN LAGUNA HILLS ON SATURDAY. THE OC Sheriff's Media Team is working hard this Labor Day Weekend to keep the community up to date. So sad. Hearts go out to Alexandra's family and friends.

LAGUNA HILLS, California (September 2, 2012) – On Saturday, September 1, 2012, at about 11:15 AM, Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputies and the Orange County Fire Authority were dispatched to a residence in the 22000 block of Caminito Tasquillo in Laguna Hills. Authorities arrived to find the homeowner doing CPR on a female adult. Paramedics took over first aid, but the victim was eventually declared “deceased” at the scene. The victim has been identified as Alexandra Tang, 24 years old, from Santa Barbara, California. Tang was stabbed to death inside the residence where she was found. Orange County Sheriff’s investigators, with assistance from the Mesa Police Department in Arizona, have arrested 25 year-old Derek Pinski for the murder of Tang. Pinski is a resident of Laguna Hills and the boyfriend of Alexandra Tang. Sheriff’s homicide investigators are in Arizona conducting interviews and collecting evidence to yesterday’s crime. Pinski will be extradited back to Orange County, where he will eventually be charged for the murder of Alexandra Tang.

Interesting case unfolding in the OC. Got a note from the OC Sheriff's Department late Saturday night....

Here are the highlights of the statement....

"At approximately 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning, OrangeCounty Sheriff’s Department and Orange County Fire Authority were dispatched to the 22000 block of Caminito Tasquillo in Laguna Hills. Deputies arrived on scene to the homeowner administering CPR on a woman 23 years of age.

Paramedics took over first aid and pronounced the woman deceased at the scene.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is now in the process of conducting a suspicious death investigation. As part of the investigation, it was determined that an individual was at the scene at the time of the death. Hummm.....

Derek Pinski (seen in this pic), a male Caucasian, about 25 years old, 6’ 3” tall, thin build, brown hair and brown eyes was located late Saturday night...way the heck out Arizona. Hummn, again.

Pinski is in custody....and man, sounds like he has some explaining to do.
