Remembering our friend Patrick Mayuga Simbol who passed away far too soon....

Remembering Patrick Mayuga Simbol

I was saddened, and shocked to hear the news about the passing of popular Cerritos resident and community leader Patrick Mayuga Simbol.

Patrick died after a very brief illness this week, and I wrote about it in a Page 3 article in this weekends edition of Los Cerritos Community News.

Simbol, the father of three children was married and a former graduate of Whitney High School in 1988 as well as a graduate of the University of Southern California.

He was 41 years old and will be remembered for his love of music, his family, and many friends. Several on his friends have taken to Facebook to express their deep sadness about Patrick’s passing. I have beautiful memories of Patrick, and just hope that everyone can keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Noguez and four others. However, politics has been in my DNA since I was a child.
