JOHNNY NGUYEN: Suspect Arrested for Videotaping a Victim in a Bathroom Stall at Cypress College

On Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at approximately 3:15 p.m., the Cypress Police Department received a 911 call from a victim. The victim stated he was detaining an individual after he caught the individual filming him with a cell phone from a neighboring bathroom stall. Officers arrived moments later and found the suspect, Johnny Nguyen, being detained by the victim.

During the subsequent investigation, officers determined Nguyen had utilized his cell phone to videotape at least two additional victims the same day. The suspect admitted to committing the same crime 15 additional times over the past 12 months. All of the incidents occurred at Cypress College in various men’s restrooms. Nguyen was arrested for a single misdemeanor charge of PC 647(J)(1) and booked at the Cypress City Jail.

The Cypress Police Department is asking anyone who has information on this crime or believes they are a victim to contact detectives at 714-229-6631.
