"Suspicious death" on Ynez Avenue in Monterey Park stuns local community; Victims boyfriend being detained

Scary crime in Monterey Park is unfolding today.  One woman is dead, and her boyfriend is being "detained for questioning."  The name of the victim has not been made public.   If you live in the area, hit my comment section below.  The street is located right next to Monterey Park Hospital and a Chinese church.
Here is the details from Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department:
Sheriff's Homicide investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the suspicious death of a 39-year-old Asian female that occurred on Sunday, February 5, 2012 in the 1000 block of Ynez Avenue, city of Monterey Park.  Investigators learned that Monterey Park Police Department received a call to assist the Fire Department in regards to a person dead at the location. When the coroner investigator arrived, she found suspicious marks on the victim. The victim was also believed to be three months pregnant.  The victim's boyfriend is being detained at Monterey Park Police Department as a witness pending the arrival of homicide detective for an interview.  The couple has a two-year-old daughter and is currently in the custody of the Department of Family and Children Services, pending the outcome of the boyfriend’s interview.  There is no other information at this time. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
