LOS ANGELES – Former Hawthorne Mayor Larry Guidi pleaded guilty today to stealing a commercial food mixer from Hawthorne School District that prosecutors said he planned to use for his home pizza oven. Guidi, 54, pleaded guilty to one felony count of grand theft before Superior Court Judge William C. Ryan, said Deputy District Attorney Ed Miller with the Public Integrity Division. He was sentenced to one year probation and ordered to complete 100 hours of community service. In exchange for his plea, one count of commercial burglary was dismissed. Guidi, who worked as a warehouse operations manager for the Hawthorne School District until he was let go last year, was captured on a video security camera loading the food mixer and a cart into a pickup truck on March 25, 2010, and driving away. Guidi, who did not run for re-election as mayor, entered his plea just as jury selection was scheduled to begin. The commercial mixer, valued at $1,300, was later returned to the school district, Miller said.

First and foremost. "He who is without sin, cast the first stone" I don't care how much negativity Mayor Guidi, has thrown at him. I look at the good that he did for the city of hawthorne, which I wish could be renamed "Guidi". I further think it was ridiculous,to arrest Mayor Guidi, on such petty non-sense. I also, am a victim of "Haters" however, when one trust and believe in God, God overturn the wrongs of the devil! Whitney Houston's'"I will always love you" applies to Mayor Guidi! I wish he and his family nothing but, the best that God has to offer for them.
