WATCH Rep. Gabrielle Giffords emotional video on her retirement from Congress! Lets get Mark Kelly to take her place!

"Arizona is my home, always will be. A lot has happened over the past year. We cannot change that. But I know on the issues we fought for we can change things for the better. Jobs, border security, veterans. We can do so much more by working together. I don't remember much from that horrible day, but I will never forget the trust you placed in me to be your voice. Thank you for your prayers and for giving me time to recover. I have more work to do on my recovery so to do what is best for Arizona I will step down this week. I'm getting better. Every day, my spirit is high. I will return and we will work together for Arizona and this great country. Thank you very much."

I have been touched about the announcement that Rep. Gabby Giffords is stepping down from Congress this week. She is one of the most amazing and brave women on the entire planet. There is a PERFECT replacement for Gabby....her incredible husband Astronaut Mark Kelly.

Note to Mark: Please consider running to replace Gabby. She is on the road to recovery. It is going to take time. But, America needs YOU to continue her legacy, and to continue being a champion for ALL the people in your District.

America is better because of Gabby and Mark. Let's celebrate her decision.

You may know me from my role as the Senior Advisor and Official Media Spokesman for the Recall Gavin Newsom campaign that established a worldwide blitz of interviews.
