Montebello Freeway Tanker Explosion lights up internet, television news stations

Dual trailer gasoline tanker, about 10,000 gallons on board, somehow ignites while the truck is in motion on the EB 60 Fwy in the Monebello area, just about 4 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. Rear tank goes first and extends to the front as well as the surrounding vegetation and to the overpass also... Freeway closures still in effect with no timetable for opening the 60 Freeway as of yet! Firefighters from LA County, Montebello, Santa Fe Springs, Monterey Park, Vernon, and probably other agencies are on scene. No injuries reported!

Talk about a massive explosion.  Today a tanker fuel truck literally blew up while traveling east bound on the popular 60 Freeway (Pomona) under a heavily traveled over pass at Paramount Boulevard.  The explosion was so loud you could literally hear it all the way down to Norwalk, some 10 miles away.
Television news coverage has been as intense as the massive balls of flames that sent a thick black smoke across the San Gabriel Valley, especially over Montebello, Pico Rivera, East Los Angeles, Alhambra, and so many other enclaves.

Amazing that no one was hurt considering the extend and ferocity of the explosion.
