BREAKING: Three off-duty Deputies detained at La Mirada Regional Park after gun shots fired

Residents who live adjacent to the popular La Mirada Regional County Park were awoken in the middle of the night to gun fire.

When Norwalk Sheriff's Station Deputies received arrived at 13701 Adelfa Drive in La Mirada they detained three off-duty deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The three deputies were detained at the scene, and luckily no one was hit by the gun shots.
Investigators from Internal Affairs Bureau, Internal Criminal Investigations Bureau, and a representative from the Office Of Independent Review have responded to the scene.

It is operated by the Los Angeles County Parks Department and features a lake, athletic fields, jogging paths, and rolling hills.

It is one of the most popular parks in Southeast Los Angeles County and annually attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors.

The three names of the deputies who were detained have not been made public or to the media as of 1 p.m. Friday.
