The "Road to Las Vegas" is totally screwed up this FRIDAY before LABOR DAY because of a fast moving fire that is burning out of control in the famed Cajon Pass. All of Oak Hills has been evacuated. Here is all the LATEST OFFICIAL DATA that was just updated for the media less than 18 minutes ago. Houses are beginning to burn down.
The Hill Fire in Cajon Pass has resulted in a closure of all southbound lanes of I-15 at Hwy 395. All but one lane of northbound I-15 is open with CHP escorts but may close periodically due smoke and burning operations. Motorists are advised to avoid Cajon Pass as traffic will be heavy throughout the night. Structures are threatened in the Oak Hills Area. Mandatory evacuations are in place south of Joshua, east of Baldy Mesa Ave., and west of I-15.
