The saying goes that one is a product of their environment. It is exceedingly clear that proper parenting was not just lacking, but totally void. This individuals parents are as guilty as he is. People have been complaining that the DA etc. never dealt with him properly. It is time that people took responsibility for their own actions. Ashley Sweet was more than this scumbag could ever dream of being.

He is the face of a sick man.

Austin Farley is responsible for Austin Farley and he is truly a sick individual. Let us place blame where blame is well due. That is on Austin, not his parents, family, or friends and certainly not the victims families. And yes, I would agree there is a serious flaw with our legal system that permitted such a sick individual to be on the streets allowing him to take an innocent victims life.

Now instead of throwing the blame game that accomplishes nothing but additional pain to innocent people, lets all step and up put our energy (and votes, etc,) to fix the system so this tragedy doesn't happen to another family.

This boy and his family was our neighbor in the 90's. His parents are just as guilty as he. He was out of control then as were his parents. He and his parents fought with all neighbors. Very violent and sick family. So sad this could have been avoided. DA shold have seen this coming.

All mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must be so translated. God employs several translators; some pieces are translated by age, some by sickness, some by war, some by justice; but God's hand is in every translation, and his hand shall bind up all our scattered leaves again for that library where every book shall lie open to one another. As therefore the bell that rings to a sermon calls not upon the preacher only but upon the congregation to come, so this bell calls us all...No man is an island entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were. Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.

how dare you say that he is a "sick" man. you dont even know him. you dont know anything about him or what he has gone through in his life. and ashton wasnt exactly some innocent little girl. she was severely intoxicated that night.
