SOUTHWEST AIRLINES RESPONDS TO LOSS OF PRESSURIZATION EVENT ON FLIGHT FROM PHOENIX TO SACRAMENTO
DALLAS--April 1, 2011--Southwest Airlines Flight 812, the scheduled 3:25 pm departure from Phoenix to Sacramento today, diverted to Yuma, Ariz due to loss of pressurization in the cabin. Upon safely landing in Yuma, the flight crew discovered a hole in the top of the aircraft. There are no reported Customer injuries. One of the Flight Attendants, however, received a minor injury upon descent. A Southwest aircraft with maintenance, ground crew, and Customer Service agents onboard, is on its way from Phoenix to Yuma to assess the damaged aircraft and support the 118 Customers onboard. They are expected to arrive in Sacramento later tonight. Southwest will work with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) as they investigate this event.

They are lucky to be alive tonight, and this is NOe April Fool's Day joke.
For 133 Southwest Airlines passengers this will be a day they will never forget, let alone ever feel like joking about.
Just a couple of hours ago, a Southwest Airlines Flight 812 from Phoenix to Sacramento was forced to make an emergency landing after a huge gaping hole in fuselage ripped opened.
The emergency landing took place at a nearby military base in Arizona. Total chaos and panic took over all of the passengers.
Southwest Flight 812 from Phoenix to Sacramento had 118 passengers on board, and landed safely at the Yuma Marine Corps Air Station with a hole in the top of the aircraft.
Miraculously with the exception of one minor injury to a flight attendant, NO ONE WAS INJURED. I am watching most of this unravel on CNN and MSNBC right now.
All of these passengers will be traumatized for years after this nightmarish ordeal that really did take place on April Fools Day 2011.
You tube is already up linked with videos. Passengers have literally just landed in Sacramento around 30 minutes ago. Yikes.
Who knew that April Fools Day would actually turn out to be "lucky" for this bunch of unsuspecting travelers.
