Kobe Bryant has announced that he will "fight" the $100,000.00 fine imposed upon him for his anti-gay remarks over a referee call. He said his actions came out of "frustration." Now he said he will "appeal" the fine, because that's what NBA players "DO" when they get fined. The ref that he was speaking of is Ref. Bernie Adams, seen above in this "priceless" photo. Bernie, stand up! Say SOMETHING! Is there "more" to this situation?

Kobe Bryant is an idiot. I love the Los Angeles Lakers. Jerry West, Wilt, Gail Goodrich, and to my personal hero, Magic Johnson. Pao is a class act. Kobe has turned into a soap opera.
I have never been a Kobe Bryant fan, and I have never cared for Kobe Bryant "the man." Today I like him even less after what he pulled last night at Staples Center. The hot headed Bryant was nailed for his 15th "technical" foul last night during the last regular season game against rival San Antonio. He went to the bench, sat down, and yelled at the ref and called him a "FAG!" for the whole world to see.
Bryant was fined $100,000 for his "potty mouth" today by the NBA.
"Kobe Bryant's comment during last night's game was offensive and inexcusable," NBA Commissioner David Stern said in a statement. "While I'm fully aware that basketball is an emotional game, such a distasteful term should never be tolerated."
A little note to Magic Johnson, and Jenny Buss: In the off season, get rid of Kobe.
Ship him to Golden State.
Talk about "poetic justice."

You have Kobe Bryant shouting out the word Faggot...then again with the jets guy and David Tyree speaking out against Gay Marriage...and of course you have Tracey Morgan being downright hateful against gays and there are no ramifications. Even the sight of Weiner's Weiner has brought down a Congressman. Are people that afraid of Gays in this day and age? Well Marc Freden, too, has been given pause with the issue.
As a gay man, even he feels the need to apologize for the blatant use of the word "Faggot" in his new book "REALLY!?!" Now Freden using the "F" word should get a tacit pass...much like black people using the "N" word to describe themselves. His harmless use of the word...(And you must read the book to understand) has lead him to a video mea culpa on YouTube "Marc Freden Must Aplogize to the Gay Community".
Furthermore, Freden has pledged that if Kobe Bryant can be fined $50,000 then he too should pay a price. A percentage of every book sold as a result of his apology will go to the Trevor Project - a gay hot line for distressed teens looking for a voice of calm and understanding. It is the least he can do. Who will join Freden in this cause?
