A fire at 10822 S Broadway Street sent more than 50 Los Angeles city fire fighters into action this early morning.
It took less than a half hour to douse but at least six people have been injured, and two of them are children. Most of the injuries appear to have come from smoke exposure.
According to information posted by Brian Humphrey from the LA City Fire Department via their facebook page, the fire may have started in a stairway/hallway.
The apartments are located on top of a small local community church. More updates later.

I live around the corner from this fire, and everyone is concerned that these injuries could have been avoided if the owner would have NOT HAD window locks on their "bars" on the windows. Shame on this LAND LORD. I hope he is prosecuted.
