[Update 1:47 p.m. PST: Quake downgraded to a 6.6] BREAKING! ANOTHER MASSIVE 7.1 EARTHQUAKE SLAMS INTO HONSHU, JAPAN. How much MORE can Japan handle? TSUNAMI WARNING ISSUED FOR JAPAN. QUAKE HITS NEAR NUCLEAR PLANT

Update: 1:48 p.m. PST
This earthquake has been "downgraded" to a 6.6 magnitude from the previous reported 7.1.  Damages have occurred in this latest shaker.

Update:
Monday, 2:04 a.m. PST

This new powerful 7.1 earthquake has PROMPTED a Tsunami warning for the Japan islands. Also, this quake was a "swallow" earthquake, and these can cause "major damage."

I remember the famed "Northridge Earthquake" that hit the Los Angeles area over 20 years ago.  That was a 6.9 and it literally threw me into a wall.  Can't imagine how the people of Japan are handling these earthquakes.

It was ONE month ago today that the deadly 9.1 Great Earthquake destroyed much of Northern Japan.

I live in Japan. We have so many quakes, all of us have tremendous fear. We are a loving a simple society, but this is more destructive that anything we have ever been through.
