Image via WikipediaPaging, Jay Leno. Jay, you have GOT to these guys on your show this week. Yep. The STREAK IS OVER, BABY! Beer Pong is breaking out in the dorms over at Cal Tech tonight. I cannot imagine the hangovers that will be running rampant on this famed campus on Wednesday.

Caltech's super brainy men's Basketball Team has WON a conference game for the first time since Jan. 23, 1985. Trust me. This is a "BIG DEAL" around our hood here. This is a once in a lifetime night to remember. The last time they won, I was 26 years old. This past weekend I turned 51. Do the math.
Our beloved Caltech Beavers are no longer losers in hoops. Beavers? Huh? Yep. They are "da Beavers. Do you realize that Lindsay Lohan was born in 1986, and a gal named "Oprah Winfrey" debuted a national television talk show. Ronald Reagan was President. Ah. Good times. LOL.
NOTE TO Jay Leno: Get THIS team on NBC Late Night ASAP. Come on. Time is wasting!

They posted a win that will go down in College basketball history. On Tuesday night Cal Tech beat the super brainy Occidental College 46-45 at the Braun Athletic Center.
It was the first SCIAC win for the Caltech program since they beat La Verne 48-47 - 26 years ago. For all you math wizards, that was back in 1985.
Caltech had lost its previous 310 SCIAC games.
"Tonight's win is a testament to the hard work each member of this team, the alumni and the supporters have put into this program. I hope that everyone who has participated in Caltech men's basketball is able to celebrate a little bit tonight," third year head coach Oliver Eslinger said. "We still have goals and aspirations that we want to accomplish as a program and this win is another step towards meeting these objectives."
Hey, coach. You and the Beavers will probably be getting a call from Hollywood tomorrow.
The game clinching point came when Ryan Elmquist hit the first of two free throws with three seconds left. An Occidental desperation shot from behind half court didn't connect. The senior went out in style by scoring a game high 23 points while playing all 40 minutes.
But, no one is going to remember the details from this one game. Dude. The STREAK IS OVER!
So, do you remember these amazing things that happened back in 1986?

I can’t believe Caltech even has a men’s basketball team. With its struggles, it sounds like the program should have been eliminated a LONG time ago.
