Los Angeles, CA

What a stunning development.

Remember that massive manhunt for a so called "shooter" that left Los Angeles Police Department School Police Officer Jeffrey Stenroos injured week, now appears to have been a "made up story."

CHARLIE BECK:  HIS "OMG" MOMENT
A hoax gone wrong? Are you serious? OMG.

Stenroos has just been placed under arrest according to several breaking media outlets just minutes ago.

What was this Stenroos thinking?  LAPD Chief Charlie Beck just wrapped up a very brief press conference to announce the arrest of Stenroos.  He is currently being booked and processed.

As soon as booking details, booking photos, and additional information is released, I will update my blog. Isn't this incredible that ONE  law enforcement officer can cause such chaos for our community and our children.

So, who shot Stenroos?  Did he shot himself?  Did someone else know about this situation?  How come it took over a week to figure this bizarre turn of events?

What charges will Stenroos face? Unreal that this can happen in our community. Tell me your thoughts.  Hit my comment section.  SOUND OFF!

How come WE TAXPAYERS HAVE TO FLIT THE BILL FOR THIS CRAZY SOB?

Look, Stenroos worked as a "school campus cop." He was never ready to be a "real" police officer. Makes me wonder about how many more loony tunes like Stenroos are running around our schools?

OMG. LMAO. What a nut.

I grew up with Jeff Stenroos and can't believe it. It is so out of his character to do this. My guess is he accidentally shot himself and panicked.

Hey, to Officer Stenroos friend who posted the above comment: Do you have a photo of Jeff that I can post? Email it to RREconomy@aol.com if you can. I am getting many many requests to see what Officer Jeff actually LOOKS like. Crazy, ain't it?

LASPD officers are real police officers. SO please knock it off with the BS. It doesn't mention the other 400 or so employees that really do care about the community and it's children. The media only cares to point out rotten members of this small department, failing to mention the hundreds, if not thousands of unregulated, wild, and corrupt officers that are members of various other Law Enforcement agencies. The law enforcement community as a whole is shocked behind the behavior of this "ONE" selfish and twisted individual. We would all like to know why he would fabricate such a terrible story, and why he would cause harm to himself. However, you cannot let this one idiot and his awful act put all of LASPD in the dog house. What about the men and women of LASPD that actually are in their field to help people? What about all of the officers and dispatchers who believed this man, and reached out to help him in his time of need?

Randy,

I can't believe your statement "stunning development", are you kidding me? it's time to do a little legacy research on the PD of any major city. LA PD Consent Decree for example was approved in 2000 and was to last only 5 years, after more than 8 years not all of the reforms have been actualized, and at what cost. The public servant who said that "LASPD officers are real police officers" doesn't have a clue; why didn't you have those reforms in place initially, and why were you forced to implement them! I suggest that you read Sheriff Macks, the proper role of law enforcement to find out what a real police officer should be doing.

Well KNOW IT ALL, who made Sheriff Mack the "LAW" of law enforcemnt? School POlice officers carry guns, make arrests, and do everything else that all officers working for other agencies do. If a School Police officer can pull you over and taje you to jail and book you... then I don't give a crap what the proper role of law enforcement is, because someone has given School Police officers a role period. So why don't you get a clue? IDIOT!
