Where is 20 year old Jose Deras hiding?

Law enforcement all over California is looking for the South Gate man who is their "main and only" suspect in the homicide death of his infant 10-month old baby.

Here are the details, that have been released by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

On Saturday evening, suspect Deras allegedly assaulted his wife and 10-month old daughter at about 5:40PM, in the 5100 block of McCallum Avenue, South Gate.  His wife, and the mother of the infant, was seen running from the couples apartment screaming right after the attack took place.  She sought safety at a near by business until law officials arrived.

Why would anyone kill their infant toddler?  Did he snap?  What would be the motive?  One thing for sure, he needs to be located ASAP!  The name of the child and the mother involved have not been released.

Deras was last seen driving his black 2008 Nissan Sentra, black, 4-Door, California license number 6FYB170.  His destination is not known.
