 Just found out that Dole Foods has won the 2011 Sweepstakes Award for the Rose Parade.  WHAT A HUGE AWARD!   You can't keep this news too secret for long....

The Dole Float is a creation of Fiesta Floats! Below is a peek at the winning entry.

The winners of the 2011 Float competition for the Tournament of Roses Parade are just beginning to be  announced.  As soon as the official list is released to the media, I will be listing all the winners!

Now, the world gets to sit back and see for the magic of this breathtaking event.

The 2011 Float Judges for the Tournament of Roses were Nancy Clarke, Debbie Turner, and Kirk Hendrix.  The theme of the 122nd Rose Parade presented by Honda is “Building Dreams, Friendships and Memories.”

FANS VOTE FOR VIEWERS CHOICE AWARD
Only 25 entries were selected to receive awards in a variety of categories and specifications including the Viewers’ Choice Award.  While you are watching the Parade today, everyone will be able to submit their vote for the “Viewer’s Choice Award.” 

Think American Idol for the Flower world.  From you cell phone, text the keyword FLOAT followed by the Float I.D. to 50649 or by voting online (visit our www.tournamentofroses.com/viewers-choice-award for more information. Fans can vote up to five times for their fave float. Voting will take place from 8:00 a.m. (PST) to 2:10 p.m. (PST) on January 1, 2011.  My pick for the Viewer’s Choice Award is the Natural Balance Pet Food entry with the 12 dogs “boogie boarding.”  It is going to be a huge hit!  But, never count out the fans from the “Cal Poly University” Float to be “strong contenders” in the VC category.  Those “tech savvy” students got game if you know what I mean.
