 San Bernardino County, CA

Well, looks like ex-Rancho Cucamonga Councilman Rex Gutierrez is getting ready for a couple years in the ol' California State Prison system after he was sentenced on Wednesday for two years and eight months on that felony corruption charge relating to his stint as an employee with the San Bernardino County Assessor's Office.

San Bernardino Superior Court Judge Duke D. Rouse threw the book at the former Rancho councilman on Wednesday.  The Judge could have given "Gee-Rex"probation or "home arrest" with one of those fancy ankle bracelets, but nope...Rex got serious jail time.   Great job Judge Rouse!  We need MORE great and brave Judges like Rouse here in Southern California!  Don't you agree with me?  Also, it should be noted that Rex G was convicted on four felony charges, not one or two, but four.

Look for an appeal.   BTW.  Not all bad news for Rex.  He now qualifies for my "2010 Political Pirate of the Year Award."  My amazing panel of judges are reviewing the longest list ever assembled for the prestigious "Pirate" that will be revealed on New Years Eve!  Stay tuned.  I love this time of year.  Heartwarming isn't it....?  BTW.  FANTASTIC COVERAGE on this entire criminal case from the Daily Bulletin out in the IE.  Reporter Joe Nelson did a "masterful" job in covering this case.  Nice to see that "investigative reporting" is alive and well in America today.... Click here for his coverage!

Why don't you add a new topic to your blog? "Rouse is a louse." We should charge all the employees in worthless government positions also. Put them in front of Rouse and load-up our over crowded prison system.
