Cerritos, CA

I just clicked on several news broadcasts (BBC America and CNN International)  and the world is learning that North Korea has apparently shot dozens of rounds of artillery onto a populated South Korean island near the countries' disputed western border.

This is an outrage.  I hope and PRAY this altercation comes to a quick end.

As many of you know, I live in Cerritos, CA.  My dear friend Joseph Cho is our Mayor here and he is from South Korea. There are just a couple Korean-American Mayors here in the United States and nearly 30% of Cerritos is of Korean background.

Mayor Cho is extremely knowledgeable about the threats between North and South Korea and he has written several books on the situation.

The BBC is starting to report on this situation.  Above is video from CNN and a map of the area under fire.  Apparently several houses were on fire and that shells were still falling on Yeonpyeong island.  There is also reports that South Korea is now beginning to return fire.

What do you think?
