Shout out to our HOOD!
Tonight, the City of Cerritos won the 15th Annual Eddy Awards, presented by the
Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp., for being the "Most Business Friendly City" in the County for cities with less than 60,000 residents.
Cerritos was presented "The Eddy" at a ritzy gala at the
Beverly Hilton in
Beverly Hills on Wednesday night. Cerritos was named over the cities of Azusa,
La Mirada, Commerce,
Monrovia and Duarte. The City of Alhambra won the Eddy Award for Cities larger than 60,000 residents in population.
In additional to naming the winners of the business friendly competition, the LAEDC also honored
the County’s largest private employer and one of the nation’s leading health plan and managed care providers,
Kaiser Permanente, and Do Won Chang, Founder of
Forever 21, one of the largest immigrant-founded
companies in
North America. Forever 21 has a new location here at the
Los Cerritos Center.
