Deputy District Attorney Emily Spear of the Long Beach Branch Office said Izac McCloud was sentenced to the maximum term of 202 years to life in state prison. McCloud was convicted on Sept. 16 of two counts of second-degree murder and 46 counts of assault with a firearm.

Long Beach Superior Court Judge Mark Kim ordered the defendant to pay $4,472.43 to a victim who was shot through the leg but survived and $2,716.10 to the mother of victim Dennis Moses, 17, who died from a gunshot wound to the head.

McCloud was further ordered to pay $15,000 in restitution to the state Victim Compensation and Government Claims Board.

Co-defendant Jonzel Stringer, 22, is expected to be sentenced on Nov. 16. He was convicted of two counts of second-degree murder and 46 counts of attempted murder on Sept. 21.

McCloud and Stringer were among a group of more than 400 people who showed up at the Lakewood Masonic Lodge for a birthday celebration for twin brothers on Jan. 19, 2008. Information about the party had been posted on an Internet Web site.

Stringer got into a fight inside of the lodge, came outside, and told McCloud to shoot.

Standing just outside a window, McCloud fired a 9-mm semiautomatic handgun 10 times at partygoers inside, the prosecutor said. Victims Moses and Breon Taylor, 15, were killed and one other teenager was shot but survived.
