West Orange, Texas

I am stunned about hearing this sad news out of Texas today.

Reinald "Reggie" Garrett a "straight A" Texas high school football quarterback died Friday after collapsing during a football game versus local Jasper High School.

Reginald Garrett from West Orange Stark High School was rushed to Baptist Orange Hospital of Southeast Texas, but he did not survive.  He had just thrown for his second touchdown pass of the game in the second quarter when he went to the sidelines and suffered a massive seizure.

Garrett, a senior at West Orange Stark High School, had a history of seizures, according to friends and family.  He was the most popular student on campus according to his many friends and coaches.

The entire community of West Orange and the "Football world" in Texas is in a state of shock today .

Hundreds of friends, family, team members, coaches, cheerleaders, band members, and fans went to the hospital where Reggie died and many of them today are still in a state of shock.  Reggie was the most popular student on this tight knit campus.

Keep Reggie in you thoughts and Prayers today!   RIP.
