BEVERLY HILLS -- Speaking of our crazy legal system.....

The woman who became known as the "West Hollywood Target Store Slasher" has been found mentally incompetent to stand criminal trial, and today many are questioning if this is "justice served..." including me.

Layla Rosette Trawick, 34, will be heading to Patton State Hospital in San Bernardino yesterday after doctors agreed that she was incompetent to stand criminal trial.
Trawick plead not guilty to four counts of attempted murder and five counts of assault with a deadly weapon back in the May 3rd rampage that nearly killed five innocent shoppers in West Hollywood.

If you recall, Trawick entered the Target Superstore on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood and took a chef butcher’s knife roaming aisle to aisle and slashing the arms, necks, and torso's of shoppers on a random basis.
One of those she stabbed was a woman holding a small infant.
Her mother says Trawick suffers from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia and that she has been trying to get her daughter help. I call her a career violent criminal who got away from life in prison....

I covered this case for weeks back when this occurred in May. I received dozens of notes and almost 99% of them said that she would claim to be "mentally ill" and that justice would NOT be served in this case.
My question.... Why was Trawick allowed to roam the streets freely since the legal system was clearly aware that she had a long past of violent acts and several arrests within the past year alone?
I have posted some of her recent arrests for you to see....
The system failed in this case. Thank goodness no one was murdered during that tragic afternoon.
