BREAKING NEWS: FIRE BREAKS OUT IN THOUSAND OAKS off 101 Freeway at Hampshire. Fire fighters dealing with 109 Degree heat.

Thousand Oaks, CA

A fire has broken out in the hills of Thousand Oaks near the Hampshire Street off ramp at the 101 Freeway. The flames are burning near a "light industrial complex" and at least 3 buildings are in the immediate line of the blaze.

According to the Ventura County Fire Authority, around 3 to 5 acres have burned so far. The fire began around 20 minutes ago.

More than 50 fire fighters are on the scene, so far. Air attack water drops are beginning to take place.

Heat will be a huge factor in this fire. It is 109 degrees in Thousand Oaks right now.
